Hi
Since I got electronic refund to my tax rebate and have SSN for all family members, I was expecting Tax refund (stimulus) to be deposited in my bank accoung this week. This was big announcement in the last week.
But I dont see any rebate deposited in my account?
Does any of you have received such rebates?
Is there any contacts numbers where we can approach if we did not received Stimulus rebate al though we filed electronically?
Thanks

Due to numerous concerns and questions regarding the FBI's name check program, which is conducted on applications for immigration benefits such as permanent residency and naturalization, the FBI will be hosting a briefing for immigration caseworkers or a representative from your office on March 14, 2006. The briefing is intended to advise staff of the FBI name check process and answer related questions. If you are experiencing difficulties relating to this matter, specifically the growing backlog, the extensive wait time on immigration applications due to the name check, and receiving updates from the FBI when inquiring on the status of a name check, your attendance is encouraged.
There will also be representatives from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services as many of the issues are interrelated.

Did we ever think about forming a team with other like minded people under one banner? I think we will be able to effect something if all Pro CIR people join hands together and pool our resources. Any suggestions??
Good idea! here is why it won't work
AILA sees 11 milllion clients at their door step, so they support more of CIR which mostly favours illegals
Compete America is more towards corporate interest, they will be happy if they get more H1Bs, they do support more EB green cards, but I don't think itz their top agenda
IV is formed by guys who are really victims, so we know whatz in our best intrest, none of other groups are not victims they just want to take advantage of current situation
never the less their policy do align with ours , so I am sure IV core members are in touch with these organization and work them more closly

Are you a fan of the Buffalo Bills or New York Jets and traveling to the game in Toronto on Thursday, 12/3? If so, the US Customs and Border Protection agency has travel advice for you here. (http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/newsroom/news_releases/11302009_3.xml) CBP advises travelers to check traffic conditions at the four border crossings within the Buffalo/Niagara region, and select the crossing that is least congested. Travelers can easily obtain current border traffic conditions by calling the Niagara Falls Bridge Commissions toll free number at 1-800-715-6722 or by visiting various web sites listed by CBP.
Travelers should prepare for the inspection process before arriving at the inspection booth. Individuals should have their crossing documents available for inspection and they should be prepared to declare all items acquired outside the U.S. In compliance with full implementation of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, which commenced June 1, all travelers, including U.S. and Canadian citizens, will need to present documentary proof of citizenship.
These documents include a Passport, U.S. Passport Card, trusted traveler card (NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST) or an Enhanced Drivers License. Children under the age of 16 can present an original or copy of their birth certificate. CBP will remain practical and flexible in its approach to full implementation of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative and will continue to educate and inform the traveling public. Please visit the WHTI Web site for additional information. (GetYouHome.gov (http://www.getyouhome.gov/html/eng_map.html))

given the priority date and the processing dates i want to understand how the uscis will process our applications
now the Nebraska service center is processing June 8, 2008. so based on the priority date it is processing all the applications that are current and have been filed before June 8th. Now let us say they take an application and start processing it and suddenly the PD goes back and I am not current any more - what do USCIS do. Do they just stack it back or what do they do. any thoughts.

You need to have PT license to work. Every state has different rules, there is lot of paper work involved to sit for license exam. For Indians, mostly it was easy for Michigan, New york. For present scenario better check physicaltherapyforum.com, very good info avaliable
Once you pass license it is easy to get job and H1, presently physical therapy is recession proof. well paid over 60-75000 for new grads.

Great tip from AILA for our H1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) filers trying to beat the rush. Because you cannot submit an LCA earlier than six months prior to the beginning date of the period of intended employment (20 CFR 655.730(b)), if you want your LCA in hand before April 1, then set your employment start date on the LCA for a date in September, and set the expiration date for a date no more than three years hence. File the I-129 with a start date of October 1, but with an expiration date that coincides with the expiration date of the LCA. You will lose a couple of days on the back end of the petition by doing this, but you will get the LCA filed and back before April 1.
Example:
LCA start date: 9/1/10
LCA end date: 8/31/13
Form I-129 start date: 10/1/10
Form I-129 end date: 8/31/13
Due to delays in receiving approved LCAs, take the proper precautions and file your LCA early to avoid any undue delays.
Although under certain circumstances USCIS has agreed to accept H-1B petitions for processing that include LCAs that have not been certified, attorneys should understand that if the LCA submitted with the H-1B petition is eventually denied, the H-1B (http://www.h1b.biz/lawyer-attorney-1137085.html) will be denied, even if a subsequent certified LCA is submitted. This is even true where the denial is due to DOL error in not being able to verify a petitioner's FEIN. However, USCIS has also indicated that if the sole reason for failing to apply for an Extension of Status or Change of Status is due to DOL delay in the certification process, USCIS may look at the totality of the circumstances in determining whether to accept the late filing.
Bottom line is that getting an approved LCA before April 1, 2010 is crucial. Pay attention to detail and get the files ready in advance is a must.

vengaiah: Fill the I-9 form and send it to your company B with a copy of your EAD, fill in the direct deposit form ( or take cash :) ) and you are good to go.
You will have submit a new I-9 with a copy of your EAD to your company A - as your will status will be "Pending AOS" from the moment you start working for company B using EAD and You are no longer in non-immigrant status (H1B).

Are you referring to Windows Phone applications? If so, there is no way to do that outside of emulating it on your own. You can download the sample project and watch the video here on a way of doing that yourself though: http://channel9.msdn.com/posts/Jaime+Rodriguez/Windows-Phone-Design-Days-Blend/

I am currently working on H1B and have received my EAD and Advance Parole recently. I am planning to travel next month and want to use
my Advance Parole for this purpose. When I come back (to avoid h1b stamping again in home country). Do I need to use EAD to continue
working in US?
Thanks in advance

We can send in our recommendations to improve USCIS.
http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/editorial_0501.shtm
In the current situation USCIS is going to receive around One or Two millions of AOS applications. Issuing EADs and APs are going to face huge delays. So If USCIS cannot keep the 90 day promise for EADs they should issue interim EADs Or Introdue Premium processing for EADs and APs.

Hi,
I am working under H1B visa and got married December last year. My wife applied for her H4 visa this month and when she got to the embassy for the interview, the consul checked and commented on the font size of her address in our marriage certificate. She said it was smaller than my address (well, she got a longer address before we got married, maybe that is why the census made it smaller) and said to my wife that it needs verification. The embassy then took all documents (her passport, our original marriage cert, etc.) and said they will call her when she needs to return for interview again.
Has anyone of you experience this? If so, any ideas how long it takes for them to call? BTW I'm Filipino. Thank you guys and God bless
I guess you should be fine once they gets satisfied with cross checking.
By the way can you please tell me in short the procedure you followed to have your wife attend H4 visa interview.
Thanks!
