Someone announces his 'greatest achievement' ... others challenge him to show true patriotism... yet others ask him to continue supporting India etc., AND this chap actually responds :)!
Wow! Seriously we all have too much time on our hands to be self promoting / congratulating / reminiscing etc...
Glad that this person will call US Senators etc., lets thank him for that and keep moving... instead of grilling him on things that matter to you! He owes you all no explanations or apologies.

Actually I know someone who got it even faster.
This Pakistani guy came to the US in 2004 fresh off boat to do Masters. Completed Masters by mid 2005, immediately landed job at MS, they started his GC immediately in EB2 ROW and by end of 2005 he had GC in hand. It was ridiculous.
This is truly unfair where country of birth determined who gets an 'Employment' based greencard before someone else. It can only be fixed by eliminating per-country limits.

This shows that the backlog is more than the numbers on USCIS website. People need to stop wasting time on tracking and spend time in their office work. Backlog means more business money for lawyers and trackers. IV is very small. Unless IV had hundreds of thousands of members, they cannot do lobbying like AILA or Microsoft. EB3 India and now EB3ROW is in a pitiable state. All those EB3ROW who used to be happy will now see the reality. Thank god I ported to EB2 but the dates for EB2 do not move enough. I think anyone who can should port to EB2 ASAP. This is the only solution.

I think some of our members put the votes in wrong place.
For Eg : for "Before Nov 01 2002" right now the number of votes are 24 click on 24 you will see which user voted for "Before Nov 01 2002 now check for couple of users for their Labour Approval Date some have labour approval dates of 2006 and 2007

However, as far as access to some information and benefits goes, this can be restricted to members. If you think this issue impacts you as severely as it does, why the hesitation to ensure something gets done about it, and get regular access to information and benefits without the clutter?

I guess you are talking about premium membership like wsj etc. I am not sure a free exchange of ideas can occur if we put our membership for sale by restricting access to some parts of the website. IV will lose some of its sheen and I am not sure the tradeoff in membership $ is worth it- dunno just doesn't feel right in the gut

This is really bad news indeed. USCIS is screwing us up big time. How can they see a demand for the numbers when there is no one applying for the past 3 months?
Any why cann't they determine Oct dates for EB3 now? What will change in Early September? Are they going to process any EB3 with "U" in early September? This is so BS.

These consulting firms are really annoying. USCIS should try to close this loophole.
Like I said, I did not catch the whole speech, but from what I heard, he was not talking completely against it, he mentioned that businesses need more H1B's and should be able to hire foreign talent.
He was mainly against abuse by big consulting firms (he gave out a statistic that 20K of the H1B went for 8 or 9 of the top consulting firms or something like that).
At least there is something happening..... we have only two weeks....... this may be our only chance this year to attach anything EB

My lawyer was not prompt enough to mail the applications by July 2 and after USCIS issue new update, they decided not to file as it will be rejected. In light of the lawsuits, below is the response I got from them?
"In light of the currently pending class action lawsuit against USCIS and numerous requests to file for Adjustment of Status despite the unavailable visa numbers, we have decided to do the following with regards to current filing of adjustments:
If you have an older priority date (EB-2 or EB-3) such as 2004 or earlier, it would most likely be a waste of your time and money to file your adjustment now. It could take over a year and a half (if not longer) for a decision to be reached in the lawsuit, and chances are that your priority date would come current before then, making you eligible to file your adjustment.
If you have an newer priority date (EB-2 or EB-3) such as 2005/6 or later, it may be beneficial to file the adjustment now and become part of the class action lawsuit, but this is just speculation. In any case, the initial filing would be outwardly denied and no immediate benefit would come of it. Even if the lawsuit had a favorable outcome, you will have to refile the adjustment at the time of the court's decision, which would incur more legal fees. Again, it could take over a year and a half (if not longer) for a decision to be reached in the lawsuit, and your priority date could come current before then, making you eligible to file your adjustment and making the lawsuit a big waste of time and money.
Ultimately it is your decision as to what you want to do. We are willing to file your case now if you so wish. Please note that our office will be charging full legal fees for each time the adjustment is filed. The full legal fee will be due upon the initial filing of the case, and again on any subsequent filings of the same case, whenever that may be, as all paperwork will have to be redone.
Please keep in mind that once we file your case, we can guarantee that it will be rejected immediately. You will receive no immediate benefit from filing this case. You will not be issued travel documents, and you will not be issued an EAD card."

Your involvement is more important... you can generate a lot of contribution by spreading the good word & encouraging people to contribute..
I have not contributed much as comapred to top guys but I have generated atleast $600 through my efforts to rope in new guys & requested them to put in some money. Some did but some did not

I sent #7001 form in second week of October , i emailed CIS Ombudsman3-4 days back . I received this email today....

Do you know if labor substitution for future employment is possible.
I am working with company A and company B have labor approved with 2003 priority date. I want to work with company A till my I-140 labor substitution application (from employer B) is approved by uscis.

This clearly says applications already filed will also be accepted. So this means anyone who filed between July 2nd and 17th will not be rejected.
