When taking an Infopass appointment, is it ok to choose the option of

Step 2. If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment
Did anyone use this, even if there was no Service Request filed? Were you asked for a Service Request number? If not, what option does one use to take an appointment?

pappu, pls let me know, if u received the fund. Also, one small suggestion, we can just maintain a small excel sheet, to just see who (just the user id and not the actual name) contributed and how much money they contributed just in this campaign. Cos, I hate to say this, I just dont want to be around those who want to have a free ride from all the hard work that IV group is putting in. Please everyone please donate. If you are reading this post, if you have not contributed earlier, please contribute. Dont you want IV to become strong financially when fighting this tough case. They need all the help they can get. And by extension of the same logic, you chose to come to this country to be a guest worker. You knew it could take long to get a GC and that there are PER COUNTRY LIMITS when you applied for GC. Why complain about it NOW ?

Being said that, nobody has asked to them to opt for EB3, it was just the situation they were in when they started their GC journey. Let it be their educational qualification, experience or job requirement, they opted to go with EB3 with full consciousness and also due to some compelling reasons. If EB2 dates are moving forward why EB2 filers needs to be blamed / targeted for that? This doesn�t make any sense either.
Also, now nobody is stopping them to convert from EB3 to EB2.
Let us just stop this EB2 Vs EB3 crap and do something constructive. These kinds of fights will not take us anywhere.

good idea...IV should write this to Ombudsman.
We should also get a survey/feedback form from the IO for AOS interviews, POE etc so we can send the feedback to USCIS. The form should include date, time , IO name etc and survey questions...Only then USCIS can improve their service.
For us, life revolves around everything immigration. For IOs, its just a job to pay the bills. I wouldnt fault the IO...they are just doing their job & acting according to procedure. How many of us professionals keep track of EVERY SINGLE thing thats related to our industry. So keep that in mind while we criticize USCIS people.

Where are those ppl who were venting anger towards IV core team for posting news before announcement? Anyway it took lot of hard work for the IV team to continue on their mission even after so much fiasco by some IV posters too.

Sorry that I had to wait this long to contribute. Been tight with my debt and payments and also secretly monitoring this board and praying for your success. My first contribution of $20 was sent via paypal.
I personally feel that not a lot of people out there know about paypal or are just too scared to transact online.
It would be awesome if a portion of the money could be used to start a mailing campaign via snail mail by including a contribution plea letter along with a form that can be filled and mailed with a cheque to IV. Just like those credit card offers. Obviously to all the registered members.
Also, psychologically, when you navigate to the contribution page, the list of contribution amount options starts with $100. And then all the way to the right is the "other" option. It takes time for the eye to get to the "other" amount option as a result of which an anonymous/interested user navigating to the page sees contribution amounts in multiples of $100 thereby creating doubt/hesitation without realizing that you can choose the "other" option to contribute in smaller numbers. It would be great if you could put in a blank text field first and then the other options with multiples of $100.
Just my 0.02 cents.
Keep pushing and for all you guys watching in the sidelines watch "Gandhi" - the movie, for inspiration. Seriously!
Even if you don't contribute, walk up to Blockbuster or go online on Netflix and rent the movie out.
IV is doing a tremoundus job. I have been watching and waiting silently until I saw the movie "Gandhi".
I know many of you single non-immigrants living alone don't have to shop around for Christmas. I know I don't because my family doesn't live here. So maybe you can gift IV with a small contribution.
Maybe you can skip a carwash this month (for all those living in the south, i.e.) and do it yourself and send in the money to IV. Small drops of water make an ocean. So don't think your contribution, however small it may be, is not going to help.
If you really don't have the money to contribute, atleast buy a $1 greeting card and a $0.39 stamp and send it to IV thanking them for fighting on your behalf. Its that simple.

The actual fact is most peoples have been doing research on retrogression like him last two years and not having enough time to reply his post. To fuel his openion DOS is violating the section 202 of INA and no one cares about this including IV core team.

I decided to move to india now. I have I140 cleared and having a permanent job. But enough is enough!
I started looking openings at india 2 weeks ago and most probably will get a offer from a US financial giant having IT shop at bangalore.
I think this is right decision at this time.
