By the time I got denial notice during October 2007, I received EAD. So I have assumed that there is no need to convert back to H4 and started working on EAD continuing the same project. Do you think I'm in critical situation? Please advise me. I'm panic. My husband's H1B visa is also over by February 2008 and he started working on EAD by changing his employer. His former employer did not cooperate with him to extend his H1B visa as he might have thought he will leave hime soon on AC21. Please help me.

What I heard from one of my friend that now a days DOL issues RFE left and right but if company is ready to file for new labor and if they have open position for it .. Don't wait. Even if you get RFE you will be in line ahead of many who is thinking to apply for Eb2..
By RFEs, I assume you mean the request Business Necessity letter to clarify why this person is needed for the advertised position?

:) May be you are caught on Name Check process.. Call USCIS and get your namecheck status.
Also USCIS process is a complete mess, if someone entered you under CHN quota then 2020. I hope that may not be the case as they have accepted your application even your PD 2007. You should be fine, have patience Use AC21 if you are not happy with your employeer. 6 months from approval of I-140 count that and move on.

I log in every day to see whats happening with my I-140 , Mine filed in september and the processing date moved only 15 days in last month. It took 2.5 years to complete the labor and I think I am struck in I-140 here...

Why do you think it is good news? Same Senators will be there in the Senate. Do you think they will accept skil? Not only skil any major immigration bill like AGRI, DREAM act will be stalled till next election.
ofcourse a very good news...but at the same time if VB for next month is disappointing , what will be next plan of action.. to have SkILL bill or any way to have interim bills passed?

My friends recently went to the consulte in Nogales to get their H1B stamped and they told me that we can enter Nogales with out any visa ... You might want to explore that or find any other places that are closer to where u live and do not need a visa to get a new I94 ...

Why "TSC is far better than NSC"?
NSC sent receipts for some July 2nd already even though it received the bulk of the applications.
Yes, I think the status is for individual applications only - as far as I know.
If it goes with the same pace...then it may take very very long time to clear Jul 2nd - Aug 17th applications (receipt process)...unless they increse man power OR come-up with soem alternatives.....
Anyway TSC is far betther than NSC....

Thankfully there is a concept called pre-adjudication which makes any retrogression wait run parallel to all the other delays combined like RFE,security/name check etc. So the total wait time is just one of the all the above waits that happens to be the longest. They just do not add up.

OK, I called the USCIS Customer Center.
I gave them by mistake a wrong receipt #, the customer rep. couldn't locate my application so he transferred me to an Immigration Officer!
The officer located my file. He said that my file was transferred back to the National Benefits Center from the Los Angeles office last week.
He said that once the local office is done adjucating the application, then gets transferred back to the NBC. for final processing. He was unable to tell me for sure what the document they sent me says.
He did not believed the letters is an RFE or denial, since these letters are sent by the local office while they still processing an application.
I'll let you guys know when I get the letter.

Female homeowners were also carrying around more aggravation, making less time for leisure, and were less likely to spend time with friends.
"Home ownership can be a much more complex idea than just a straightforward expression of what we call the American dream," says Grace Wong Bucchianeri, an assistant professor of real estate at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. The story was reported on Canada.com
But what about all the good stuff that comes with owning a home? Aren't homeowners benefiting from the security and independence of owning. Not really. The research shows that when you control for things like childbirth and income, the difference in contentment vanishes.
"I don't see any strong evidence that homeowners are any happier than renters," says Bucchianeri, whose 600-woman study is under review for publication in the Journal of Urban Economics. "On the other hand, they consistently report a higher level of pain — or what you might call negative feelings — connected to their home, and that's after controlling for all kinds of demographic characteristics, their financial situation, how many children they have and so on."
Bound to happen. Houses have been overpriced and House ownership has been way more expensive than renting in recent years. So if one buys a house there would be very little discretionary income to have a good life.

A few IV(I+We)'ans from several state chapters across the US have been working really hard to gather support for our bills to recapture EB visa numbers, eliminate per country caps and exempt STEM graduates from GC Quota. We have started a funding drive of 50,000$ to support lobbying efforts of these bills 25 days ago. So far we have raised 16256$ with the help of 167 members. We still need 33,744$ to reach our goal.From time to time IV'ans have come together and have made miracles happen. Mine and my wife's EAD was filed online within few hours. Mine got approved while my wife's application was still pending.
Yes, USCIS is not processing on FIFO order at all. Calling USCIS will help, if you are almost close to ead expirationa and in danger of loosing job.
Don't waste time and be anxious about it, if you are months away from expiration.

in my case i have applied for EAD/AP on 31st July and the same way, i got direct CPO email (no case Approved..) on 26th Aug. spouse AP approved on 20th Aug (but on my AP and spouse EAD still no LUD)
so no one know in what sequence USCIS is processing EAD/AP/485!

i dont see any of the above said...:o..how lond does it take for us to receive rn in hand after the checks are cashed...I am starting to worry now.If everybody can see the rn why icant i!:o...The uscis cs is not telling the status...Is there a possiblity of appl rejection even after the checks are cleared.:confused::confused:
