Hi,
On my and my wife's AP cases, we got an update today. It says on 10/30 USCIS mailed the documents to applicant.
I take that as approved. I guess the AP docs go to attorney's office, correct?

just kidding... if he just needs I-140 approved so he can continue to get 3 year H-1 extensions, then its a good idea to start PERM.
One of my good friend asked me this questions yesterday? I did not have an answer for him and wanted to ask if someone could have any suggestions on this.

His company wants to start his EB2 green card process. He was wondering if this a good time to do this? Is it recommended that he delay this process for 6 months or so? He is currently in his 3rd year of H1B.

I know that there has been several discussions regardigng this topic.One thing I never knew was that once your 6 year H1 Limit is over and say you got H1 extension for 3 more years based on approved I140, now for some reason if your 485 is denied your h1 will be denied too!!! so H1 is not a back up to EAD in this scenario...some lawyers have this opinion!!!!

Your approval gives us hope in a way that USCIS is approving I-485 cases even though the PD is not current. Am I right?
You must be right ... I was not anticipating this turn of events whatsoever as I knew what the current PD is in the September Visa Bulletin but maybe they assign me a visa number when they got my application in June.... who knows...

My and my family's APs were approved on Oct 03 (Date issued-according to the NOAs) I received email of approval on Oct 22 and my lawyer received the notification on Oct 25. So be pacient, yours is coming soon.

I dont know why its wrong for you. sounds very logical to me. Dont bring in the discussion of unnecessary current employment verification. The letter has to state that the employer is willing to hire him as a future employee. NOT RIGHT NOW. So the title has to be the title stated in the PERM/Labor Cert

If not, here it is. Employer needs to give 2 letters,
1) Employment verification letter --- this is from current employment where you are working now
2) Employment offer letter. ---- this is from the future employer who filed your PERM

You should try to get your passport renewed before you go for stamping. You may get a visa stamp only until March 2009 which means you will have to go again through that process with your new passport (assuming your H1B approval is valid beyond March 2009)
