Now because all embassies and consulates required to use PIMS to verify your H1B status... sometimes takes several weeks to get the passport stamped. In my case takes 3 weeks after interview to get my passport back (embassy at Lima, Peru).
So beware of the timing
I just bring a copy of my wife H1B approval and copy of lasts taxes ... just in case

Its a shame that they still promote the 50,000 GC visas for the so called "diversity" program. And yet don't care about the 100's of thousands folks who are legally here and aspiring to assimilate with the American society and paying huge taxes (H1's do pa more taxes then citizens).

To me, it means that they will issue an RFE to ask you about the new (self-employed) job and description of your job duties in the new job, compensation etc. And they should match with original LC.
I have a personal belief that this is a complicated thing in itself and depends largely on the job title, job descriptions and your qualifications mentioned on LC. It would be a good idea to discuss the specifics with a competent attorney before taking any step that might lead you to a new greencard from scratch. Good Luck.

the experience must be gained prior to joining the gc filing employer if presently working for that employer

The image above is a very nice, serene capture. But the one that really stands out for me is the fern (below). First you saw the shot. Most wouldn't. Then you used good DoF, a good composition, and exposure control to capture the fern without blowing it out but give us enough of the shadow to keep the fern in context. Without the shadow detail, the fern would look out of place. Nice work.
Maybe you didn't get as many keepers as you wanted, but it sounds like you learned some things and you did get a couple of keepers so it was a profitable trip in my estimation. I think we've all been at that "wish I'd used my tripod" spot. It's really irritating if you own one and don't use it and flat out maddening if you take it along with you on a shoot and don't bother to use it. The part that makes you spit nails is there's only one person to blame. . . I'm betting that tripod gets a workout the next time you wander into the woods.

Hello All,
I have couple of questions regarding Travel Document or Advance Parole.
My EAD has already been filed by my Lawyer but she is charging too much for filing Advance Parole or Travel Document,so here goes my questions.
- Is there a way to file for Travel Document myself, without involving the lawyer and if yes how can i do that
- Do I need to wait for my EAD Receipt being sent to me before filing for Travel Document.

"Visa numbers can retrogress in the middle of a month and become unavailable without prior notice. If there is a mid-month retrogression, USCIS could elect to stop accepting adjustment applications. While this is unlikely to occur in July 2007, it becomes more and more possible as the fiscal year progresses. "
I hope this doesnt happen.

Is this just a reference to how dates are generally published in the middle of the month? Could Fragomen be simply saying that it is unlikely that the visa bulletin published in the middle of the month of July will have the dates retrogressed, but later mid-month bulletins (in Aug etc.) could bring news of retrogresssion?
Note that the first sentence of the paragraph from which "averagedesi" has quoted says that "Though the principal employment-based categories are current for July, future retrogression is possible ...." This seems to indicate that they will remain current throughout July, which is what we know/believe.

I just got off the phone with a second level rep at USCIS and am getting really confused with their mixed messaged. before i push any panic buttons can some one please let me know if they had any conversations with the idiotic bunch at uscis and share your conversations with regards to the visa availability for next month. this idiot states that vsc just oversubscribed and that it could be that there wont be any movement on the cases. all this over enthusiasm for nothing - that would really infuriate me. there is a limit to the fuss they can cause and play with emotions.

We have temporarily suspended donor forum at this time as we do not have the man-hours and bandwidth to validate each donor to be added to the donor forum. I am attending my visa interview next week in one of the Indian consulate. Sometime back I came across a website which lists each persons interview date and there visa status - approved/denied. I am not able to re-collect that link
Does any one has any idea?. Basically that link shows the status of visa interviews conducted.
