yes, iPod out sold CPU's this quarter... But they still don't make as much money, as they are cheaper. the 807 thousand ipods sold this quarter count for only 15% of Apple's profit, whereas the 779000 (around that) (up 5% from this quarter last year) count for more then 45% of thier profit
45% of their profit ! Its alittle dangerous for Apple to be relying on the Ipod to push sales. Why not sell Macs with ipods ??? eg: Buy an Emac and get an 10gb Ipod for $100 or Buy a G5 Powermac and get a 10gb Ipod for $50 !
That would drive sales up and up.

and hinted that that theme gave a "little idea of where [Apple] is going."
It's true then; Apple are releasing a toilet with an iPod dock! SWEET!!!!

You're right, I apologize for being incorrect on the pledge.
I have some shoe strings, a piece of gum and a ball of lint.
Maybe we're just confused how someone who claims to be a director of IT (and presumably takes some college to become) can fail so hard at basic history.
I'm not here to remember everything I learned, especially in a class I could have cared less about. If you asked me about "pythagorean theorem" I couldn't even answer that. Just because you are wrong on a piece of history doesn't mean your wrong on all other subjects (aside from math which I have stated that).[/QUOTE]
I may not know the pythagorean theorem either, but if I'm going to participate in a debate over the pythagorean theorem, I'm going to make damn sure I know it.

Im jealous, im regretting not getting a Subaru Legacy. I got a 2010 Ford Fusion, should have got the legacy for the good looks and the AWD.
I got a Fusion last year too, and if the Legacy was sold over here I would have had a tough choice! I would have ended up with the Legacy though for the looks. AWD is useless here, so really not a reason to get it. :o

Do you have anything to support that MS lost billions on the xbox, I heard it was more like they broke even...I have no idea where you got that one from. The original Xbox never made a profit. Microsoft is deliberately selling the Xbox 360 at a loss to capture marketshare. However, the PS3 and Ninetindo Wii are selling like hotcakes, are latest big things, and have the buzz. The best laid plans ...

I lost my 160gb and I've been waiting for a classic update to buy. There's no chance I'll buy until it updates with a 220 drive so I can put all my videos and music. Let's go Apple!!

Uncompressed. That IS the key. Friends don't let friends buy compressed faux music. And play your uncompressed music with your tube amps and AR 3a speakers. Howz that for classic?
Pretty damn accurate. 5 channel surround sound on my dock connector and I can hear my speakers from across the road. Though people sometimes complain about it:p
I don't live near any senior citizens so sometimes i just ask for requests if its nothing completely ridiculous like Bieber. I only keep ~5000 songs on the iPod because i recently lost my entire music library and have been slowly rebuilding it on an SSD which is much more reliable.

I've obviously never tried any of the fancy auto shifting modern cars.
My KIA has selectronic shifting, and it's fun to go "over there", now and then. ;)

A Netflix subscription and a spindle of DVD-R discs is cheaper then one new movie from Apple.
Sorry, not interested.
HA I like your style. Think I'll adopt it too.
Honestly though, am I the only one who thinks they should change/add/replace iTunes and just keep it for music, and make a separate app for videos & films (or something)? The "iTunes Movie Store"? That sounds like the "Home Depot Car Dealership & Laser Tag Center". I understand Apples' all about simplicity, but buying movies from the music store to play in iTunes...then again it does make it simpler for the iPod...meh. I just think some form of change should be made here.

Sorry, failed to include a  , and just happened to hit on something that actually exists.
I could have easily used LoseFaceBook, but I thought the other rolled off the tongue better. :o
Actually, the second hit on Disgracebook is a blog where the author is talking about a bulletin board for gossip, insults and bathroom-stall cellphone pictures.

Why is he a douche? Because he uses metaphoric language? He seems like a qualified high level guest. And he didn't say "US European Command". YOU are the one who introduced those "2 letters". I'm just quoting what he said. There is no such thing as a European Command run by Europeans, any more than there is an African Command run by an African. They are both branches of the US military command. Your comment that "even" the European Command was run by an American was foolish in the extreme.

So you're saying we should go back to Mac OS Classic cooperative multi-tasking ?
Hello ?
The 80s called, they want their computing paradigms back. Cooperative multi-tasking makes sense on ressource limited architectures. Even the iPhone/iPad like devices are far from "ressource limited". We had pre-emptive multi-tasking on much less capable devices (think 386s with 8 MB of RAM).
I think what he is saying is that programs that are actually doing work in the background can continue running, while those that aren't can suspend iOS style. That is how Lion works. It brings the benefits of both iOS & Mac OS.
